Staff and Partner Appreciation BBQ

A Warm and Heartwarming Day at the Leo Roofing Construction Appreciation Barbecue

On May 18, 2024, Leo Roofing Construction hosted an unforgettable appreciation barbecue at Carlin Park’s Gumbo Limbo Pavilion in Jupiter. The event was a fantastic family fun day, bringing together about 100 people, including their families. It was great to see 25 to 30 children enjoying themselves and adding to the entertaining atmosphere of the day.

The event featured an array of activities for all ages. Adults had a blast with axe throwing and a golf simulator while everyone enjoyed playing cornhole. The children were entertained with their own golf ball game, ensuring there was never a dull moment for anyone in attendance!

Every Leo Roofing Construction crew member received a drawstring backpack filled with a T-shirt, sunscreen, hat, and lip balm. They were also issued a new Leo Roofing Construction shirt, which they proudly sported for a fantastic group. The Leo trucks were also lined up with great precision for a great backdrop and brand shots!

There were many raffle prizes, and they were a big hit, with many attendees walking away with fantastic items! The prizes included 55-inch flat-screen televisions, generators, smokers, a pair of AI Ray-Ban Sunglasses, Yeti Mugs, high-end coolers, portable fire pits, watches, wallets, various gift cards, two pop-up gazebo tents, and five lucky individuals won an extra day off compliments of Frank Leo, no questions asked!

The event saw participation from esteemed vendors such as Westlake, Royal Roofing Solutions, Polyglass Mapei Group, ABC Supply Company, and Extreme Metals, showcasing a strong sense of community and partnership.

No one left hungry, thanks to Sam McFarland Catering, which presented a delicious spread featuring barbecue chicken, baked beans, potato salad, red beans and rice, fruit, hamburgers, and hot dogs with all the fixings. To cool off on the warm, sunny day, the Maypo Ice Cream Truck served delightful desserts, adding a sweet touch to the event.

This remarkable day would not have been possible without the incredible organizational skills, quick thinking, and resourcefulness of the humble Rose Price, who pulled the event together in record time. Her response was heartfelt when asked how she managed to organize the event so quickly and why it was so important to Frank Leo. “It’s a tribute to our team. I can’t say enough about this crew. Frank has longevity with his team, and his crew chief, Marcus Rabanales, has been with him since day one. Marcus’s commitment is unparalleled. Five of his brothers have joined Leo Roofing Construction, along with his son and nephew. Frank treats the entire crew and all of his employees like family. We are dedicated to upholding the highest quality standards of the Leo name.”

Rose continued, emphasizing the professionalism, incredible craftsmanship, and beauty of the final product that speaks for the company. Nearly 90% of their business comes directly from referrals from former clients, a testament to the quality and dedication of the team.

The Leo Roofing Construction Barbecue will be an annual event with one exciting change: it will take place earlier in 2025 to enjoy the cooler South Florida weather. This event captured the spirit of community, gratitude, and celebration, making it a memorable day for everyone involved.

Leo Roofing and Construction Joins with BallenIsles Charitable Foundation to Support Coral Reefs

Recently, Leo Roofing and Construction has become involved with the BallenIsles Charities Foundation (BICF) to back a project that Frank Leo is very proud of, the Baby Coral Project. This sponsorship reflects Leo Roofing and Construction’s dedication to preserving the environment and the natural resources that we are so fortunate to enjoy in Florida.

Established in 2011, the BallenIsles Charities Foundation focuses on impacting the Palm Beach Gardens region by supporting nonprofit organizations that work on civic, health, human services, environmental, and educational initiatives. The foundation has played a role in conservation, particularly through its recent effort to create a coral nursery in West Palm Beach. This initiative is essential for addressing the decline of reefs in the ocean, which play a crucial role in sustaining ocean biodiversity and our planet’s overall well-being.

The Reef Institute’s baby coral project, supported by BICF’s Impact Grants program, is a crucial initiative aimed at nurturing and planting corals in our waters. These corals are not just important; they are vital for replenishing those lost due to disease and other factors, ensuring the longevity of our ecosystems. Leo Roofing and Construction’s participation is a testament to and commitment to this urgent cause.

“I believe businesses have a social and moral responsibility to be actively involved in local community initiatives that benefit the environment. We must work to preserve the natural resources and beauty that we all enjoy here in Florida for our families and future generations. Our dedication to the baby coral reef project with the BallenIsles Charity Foundation is just one of the ways that we can do that.” said Frank Leo, President of Leo Roofing and Construction.

This collaboration is a shining example of how local businesses can work with organizations to address environmental issues while strengthening community bonds.
